Mama mia!
Super Mario Bro Luigi stopped by Chicago on Monday and, by the looks of it, had a pretty swell time while in town.
According to the RedEye, Luigi was in Chicago to help promote the Aug. 25 launch of "Super Luigi U" on the Wii U system. Between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. a special train on the CTA Brown Line was dubbed the "Luigi Line" for the day and wrapped --inside and out -- in green while Luigi himself hopped on for a ride.
All aboard! My Luigi train is leaving the station. I hear the ride has one Loop. I hope I don't get too dizzy ... pic.twitter.com/sL2t0gM8lf

Just stepped off the "L" train at the Clark and Lake station and hit my head! Ow! Classic Luigi! #LuigiAndMe pic.twitter.com/2hBWiLXhLA

Luigi also ignored the ill-advise of TripAdvisor.com users and made sure to track down some of Chicago's life-changing deep-dish pizza.
Time for a stroll around Chicago. I wonder if there are any good pizza places here ... pic.twitter.com/rMyPt5pCue

I think I am in pizza heaven. Or maybe I am dreaming again. If I am dreaming, please do not wake me up. pic.twitter.com/JJ52whDkiR

And he also admired some of the Windy City's signature architecture.
Mama mia, the Chicago buildings are tall! Now I know how Mario must feel. (It's funny because he's shorter than me.) pic.twitter.com/8TXMIal7FW

Hey, it's the Chicago River. I hear sometimes they dye it green. I guess they forgot today ... pic.twitter.com/ddOZpbRf4u
