Miley Cyrus Says There Are No Subliminal Messages In 'We Can't Stop' Video

Miley Cyrus Says She's Not Trying To Brainwash You

Miley Cyrus already owned up to the fact that she's singing about drugs on her latest single "We Can't Stop," but the singer won't go so far to give into conspiracy theorists who believe the controversial song's raunchy video is full of subliminal messages.

“Everyone is always like, 'What does the video mean?' There's conspiracy theories behind my video. And it’s not quite as deep as some people try to make it seem. A lot of people think I’m in the Illuminati somehow through this video,” the 20-year-old singer said in an interview with BBC radio show “The Official Chart." “It’s not really that trippy to make you think this is some subliminal message or it’s brainwashing you.”

Cyrus went on to admit that some of the crazy things that go on in the video are based on real-life things she's attempted with friends, and that she really wanted to show how different life is for people in Los Angles -- especially their house parties.

"It's all about being up in the Hills, or being in the Valley. So I really wanted people to see that," she explained.

Cyrus' video may not have any subliminal messages, but it is pretty terrifying -- with all its twerking and giant teddy bears -- especially when you watch it without the music.
