ORIGINAL STORY -- Authorities in North Carolina are searching for a 23-year-old recent college graduate who went missing after an argument with his girlfriend early Saturday morning.
Weston Vandemerwe was last seen around 1:30 a.m. outside the Oxford bar on Fayetteville Street in downtown Raleigh, WNCN reports.
“This isn’t him at all,” his mother, Becky Daly, told the News & Observer.
The recent East Carolina University student had been drinking, but still had his wits about him, according to his girlfriend.
"I just hope he's OK and comes home soon," Kaitlyn Holmes said. "If anyone sees anything, please contact the police department -- please -- with anything."
Vandemerwe was scheduled to sign a lease on a new apartment Sunday, but never showed up, according to WRBL. He also missed work on Monday.
Police say they do not suspect foul play, according to ABC 11.
