'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo': Healthy Cooking Backfires When Mama June Throws It Up (VIDEO)

'Honey Boo Boo': June's Healthy Cooking Efforts Backfire

With Mama June and Sugar Bear's commitment ceremony looming, the family decided they should at least try to slim down before the big event. On "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," June experimented with healthy cooking. The family had already given exercise a go, but ultimately determined that they hated it.

June argued that she already cooked her food healthy because she bakes, and doesn't fry her dishes. But she couldn't think of a single green thing she serves. So she cooked up a cabbage soup and it went over ... terribly! Pumpkin spit her food back into her bowl, and even Mama June couldn't stand it. In fact, her body physically rejected it.

After eating some of the soup, June shouted, "I’m ‘bout to puke! Oh my God! I’m ‘bout to puke, for real.” And she was. She ran to the bathroom and heaved up the first green meal she may have ever served her family.

Sonya Sorich of the Columbia Ledger-Enquirer noted that the family didn't find it nearly as appealing as June's "sketti." That's where June mixes Country Crock and ketchup to make spaghetti sauce. But The Wall Street Journal pointed out that the diet might be working, just not as intended. As June said, if the sight of the food makes you sick, then you can't eat it, and then you'll lose weight.
