Rajai Davis Hits Ball To Pitcher, Scores Thanks To Red Sox Errors (VIDEO)

Embarrassing Errors Turns Out Into Run

It looked like Boston's Jon Lester was about to throw out Toronto's Rajai Davis at first base after he hit a sharp liner to the pitcher. Then, after a throwing error on Lester, it looked like Davis would be standing on second base at the end of the play. But as the ball rolled into foul territory, Davis decided to advance to third base.

It looked like the play would end there. But Shane Victorino's throw to third hit Davis and bounced toward the dugout, allowing Davis to go home and score the first run of the game.

One hit that stayed in the infield. Two errors. One run.

"He gets on and you can't stop him, really," Blue Jays manager John Gibbons said of Davis after their 4-3 win in extra innings, via the Associated Press. "He's a special guy. He can do a little bit everything."
