Ninel Conde To Divorce Husband Juan Zepeda, Star Announces Separation In Statement

Mexican actress and singer Ninel Conde and her husband Juan Zepeda are separating after seven years of marriage, according to a joint statement released by the couple on Friday.

The 36-year-old star and sex symbol is known for her roles in telenovelas as well as her sensual moves and lyrics. In the communique, Conde and Zepeda announce their separation and emphasize that neither abuse or infidelity prompted their decision.

“Via this statement I want to announce that my husband Juan Zepeda and I, Ninel Conde, have been going through a painful separation for some time.

It has been 7 years of marriage, which is why we both ask for respect concerning this topic. We wanted to make the news public as a thank you for all the support and interest that everyone has shown us and to avoid speculation concerning the separation. It should be noted that the reason for this decision was not due to violence and there were never third parties in this relationship. Raúl de Molina, host of Univision’s "El Gordo y la Flaca" entertainment show, told viewers Conde called him the night before releasing the statement to give him the news. Molina said she sounded serious, very sad and had said the couple made the decision a month ago but had yet to make it public.

Before the announcement, the Mexican star had already planned to move to Miami temporarily to be a judge for Univision’s celebrity dancing competition "Mira Quién Baila."
