Rush Limbaugh Not Getting Dropped By Cumulus: Report

Rush Limbaugh is reportedly staying with Cumulus after his contract expires at the end of the year, according to Radio Ink magazine on Sunday.

Sources told Radio Ink that Limbaugh and Cumulus reached a deal after the network moved to negotiate Limbaugh and Sean Hannity's contracts separately. The report came after speculation that Cumulus was prepared to drop both hosts over the high costs of distributing their shows. Talkers reported Friday that Hannity decided to split with Cumulus.

Public speculation about the outcome of the tense negotiations has been swirling for weeks. Limbaugh's future with the network was especially unclear given Cumulus CEO Lew Dickey's criticism that the radio host's comments about Sandra Fluke had cost the network "millions" of dollars.

Limbaugh addressed the reports on his radio show at the end of July, telling listeners, ""Nothing is going to change. You are going to be able to get this radio program on as many if not more radio stations down the road than it's on now, and what you're being treated to is just a public business negotiation."
