Sophie Turner Adopted Her Direwolf From 'Game Of Thrones'

Sophie Turner Brought Her Direwolf Home

"Game of Thrones" star Sophie Turner brought her direwolf home with her. The actress revealed to the Coventry Telegraph that she adopted Zunni, the dog who played Sansa Stark's late direwolf, Lady.

"Game of Thrones" fans will recall Ned Stark (Sean Bean) sadly had to kill his daughter's direwolf who was going to be put down by one of King Robert's (Mark Addy) men in Season 1, because, as he said, she deserved better than a butcher.

"Growing up I always wanted a dog, but my parents never wanted one. We kind of fell in love with my character’s direwolf, Lady, on set," Turner told the newspaper. "We knew Lady died and they wanted to re home her. My mum persuaded them to let us adopt her."
