Last month, while lunching with President Obama, Hillary Clinton unveiled a new haircut, shaped more roundly than last time and a good deal shorter than usual.
We weren't too keen on the cut personally, but there is someone who really loves it: Oscar de la Renta. The designer and longtime Clinton pal recently told Gotham Magazine that he's been telling Hillz to cut her strands for years now:
"I told her a while back [when she was Secretary of State] she should cut her hair. She said she couldn’t do it then because when she arrived in a foreign country and asked for a hairdresser, Homeland Security would have to check the person out. [Editor’s note: With long hair, she could style it herself.] But doesn’t she look fantastic now?"
It is true that Hillary's hair was rather long back in her globe-trotting Secretary of State days. Remember the glittery scrunchy in Cambodia? The white scrunchy in Madrid? The butterfly clip at the UN? Yeah, Hillary had just about enough hairstyles to match the record-breaking number of countries she visited.
But those accessories days are over now that her coif is short. Think she'll keep it short when she hits the campaign trail in 2016?
