The Very Best Of Steve Ballmer -- In Videos

On Friday morning, Microsoft announced that chief executive Steve Ballmer would be retiring within 12 months after running the company for 13 years.

While his departure seemed inevitable considering the software maker's slide, there's one thing Microsoft will find very hard to replace: His intentional (and unintentional) humor.

Let us take a trip down memory lane.

There was that time he laughed off the iPhone, saying it was too expensive and that business people wouldn't be interested.

Yeah, the Zune. Good one dude.

Ballmer and good friend Bill Gates absolutely crushed this "Night At The Roxbury" impression.

Seriously, we could watch this GIF forever.

Are they going to find ANYONE that can duck and recover this quickly when someone throws an egg at them?

Basically this:

"WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOA! COME OOOOOOOOOOOOON!"

Don't try and act like you can resist buying Windows XP after this video.

And can you BELIEVE this version of Windows was only $99? Neither can Steve.

And of course, DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS DEVELOPERS.

There can't possibly be anyone on Earth who gets this pumped about developers. This YouTube commenter sums it up very well:

Goodnight sweet prince.
