The Daily Mail's Anthony Bond seemed outraged that a politician's daughter could pose in such "raunchy self-portraits."
He posits that "the photographs could well prove embarrassing for her father as the images show his daughter in a number of revealing poses."
But, as TVNZ reports, John Key is fully supportive of his daughter's artistic endeavors. He said he was not at all surprised and he knew she was working on the portraits, one of which shows his daughter covered in raw fish.
"I told her to eat her food not play with it," Key joked. "But oh well, she's got sushi all over her."
According to Stuff.co.uk, the prime minister said he and his daughter Skype frequently and he sees her more frequently than he did before she left for France to study art.
