Cindy Crawford, Self-Declared 'American Mutt,' Discovers Her Not-So-Humble Roots (VIDEO)

WATCH: Cindy Crawford Discovers Her Not-So-Humble Roots

Cindy Crawford has been America's (incredibly stunning) girl next door for the past 30 years, but that doesn't mean she isn't curious about her roots. The supermodel is slated to appear on an episode of TLC's "Who Do You Think You Are?" tonight, where she'll find out her true lineage.

In a preview clip of the episode, Crawford describes her small town upbringing in DeKalb, Illinois. "I always just say I'm an American mutt because I know all of my grandparents were born here and I’m pretty sure all of my great-grandparents were too," she says. "I'm just like 'We're Midwestern potato eating people.'"

The 47-year-old model shares some adorable childhood photos in the video (yes, she's always had that iconic beauty mark) and says that she's just looking for a "connection to history" -- which she apparently finds in the form of royal ancestry. Just take one look at her doppelgänger daughter Kaya, and it's clear that we already knew that the mother of two has good genes.

Watch the preview clip above and catch Cindy Crawford's episode of "Who Do You Think You Are?" on TLC tonight at 9/8c.
