'Suits': The Truth Comes Out About The Killings Ava Hessington Is Being Held Responsible For (VIDEO)

'Suits' Murder Mystery Solved

The truth about those killings Ava Hessington was being held responsible for came out on "Suits." Stephen Huntley was the one who ordered them -- he was Darby's "fixer."

“And Ava’s problem was [Darby's] problem, so when she came to him to get a pipeline built..." Harvey said, but Jessica finished that thought, adding, "He went to Stephen.”

“You know what it took to set up those murders?" Mike asked. "One phone call to Mariga from the offices of Darby International. From Stephen Huntley’s London office.”

Zap2It's Laurel Brown doesn't think this is good at all. "Sure [Stephen] was under orders at the time -- Darby (thinking this would help his beloved Ava) told his fixer to make everything work -- but that's never been a terribly believable defense," she wrote. "He is a murderer.”

Carrie Raisler of The AV Club, meanwhile, is holding out hope that these developments could save the season. "It’s a fairly clever construction, and works like gangbusters here in this episode, but it still doesn’t make those less-than-satisfying past episodes any better in retrospect," she wrote. "So far this season, the Hessington and Darby arc started out fairly strong but petered out into banality pretty quickly, leaving the case to feel far staler than it should have.”

The third season of "Suits" continues on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on USA.
