Teresa And Joe Giudice Freak Out Over $5 Beach Fees

Teresa And Joe Giudice Caught In Money Battle ... Over $5

Teresa and Joe Giudice, who were just indicted on federal charges carrying millions of dollars in fines, don't part easily with $5.

The Giudices were at a Ship Bottom beach in Ocean County, N.J., Saturday afternoon with around 30 friends and family members when a girl working at the beach approached them and asked to see their beach passes, according to TMZ. That is when the Giudices apparently freaked over the $5-per-person fees and refused to "pay to go to the beach." Someone in the group even cursed at the girl and she began to cry.

Ultimately, the town police showed up.

“There were many of them. And they just didn’t want to purchase beach badges," a Ship Bottom Police Department rep told Philly.com. "They did refuse to purchase [the admission tags], which is why we were called. Once we were called, they did purchase the badges.”

The "Real Housewives of New Jersey" stars' latest money woes come on the heels of a 39-count indictment filed last month. In July, they were charged with conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud, bank fraud, making false statements on loan applications and bankruptcy fraud. The couple allegedly exaggerated their finances to secure loans and then hid their assets during a bankruptcy petition. Joe failed to file tax returns from 2004 through 2008, even though his income topped $990,000.

Both pleaded not guilty on Aug. 14 and are due back in court in October. They face up to 50 years in prison if convicted.

RadarOnline.com reported that Teresa has halted construction on a $50,000 in-ground pool at her Towaco, N.J., mansion in the wake of their legal troubles.
