'The Little Couple': Troubling Health News For Will

Bill and Jen were growing worried about their newly-adopted son's health on "The Little Couple." So they took little Will in for a series of tests, including a sleep study. This last one brought up a very serious and dangerous condition.

"Will has sleep apnea," Jen said. "His obstructive sleep apnea is severe. Severe, severe, severe. They were identifying over 140 episodes of obstructive apneas every hour.”

Sleep apnea is a disorder in which breathing starts and stops while a person is sleeping. Will's form of the condition was such that he will require surgery to correct it.

The tests also uncovered that Will had hearing issues and will probably need tubes put in so that he can hear clearly. Jen took to Twitter to confirm that Will's next step is a trip to the operating room. As scary as that is for parents, at least Bill and Jen know what challenges Will is facing, and they're on top of taking care of them.

Will's journey continues every week on "The Little Couple" on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on TLC.
