Kim Kardashian Debuts Blond Hair At Beverly Hills Barbecue

Kim Kardashian is officially a blond bombshell.

Kardashian debuted her new blond hair at a barbecue in Beverly Hills, Calif., over the weekend, E! News first reported Tuesday. The 32-year-old got a dramatic mommy makeover by dyeing her brunette locks an ombre shade of blond. The new look is dark at the roots and light at the ends.

Stylist George Papanikolas told E! News he colored the reality star's tresses. Papanikolas has been coloring Kardashian's hair for a year now and said she has wanted to go lighter for a long time. Although he was nervous about the makeover, which was done in the confines of Kris Jenner's home with the whole family watching, the new mama "loves it." And so does her beau, Kanye West.

"He loves it! He was a big cheerleader for her to go blond," Papanikolas told E!.

Last Halloween, Kardashian donned a blond wig when she dressed up as Daryl Hannah's 1984 "Splash" character, a mermaid, to host a Midori costume party. At the time, she told Us Weekly she was considering going blond for real.

"I would go blond! I think it's fun, you know?" she said. "I'm going to keep [the wig] on for at least a night and see if it's true that blondes really have more fun."

West supposedly loved Kardashian as a blonde even then and "kept bragging to his friends how beautiful Kim looked and that he loved her being blond," an insider told HuffPost's Rob Shuter.

The first time Kardashian sported a lighter look was back in 2009 when she dyed her hair a light caramel hue, which she debuted at the Kids' Choice Awards that August. Since then, she has kept her hair a darker shade.

Kim is not the only Kardashian to change up her hair. Khloe has also been rocking some noticeably blonder locks recently, as well.
