Demi Lovato Talks 'X Factor' And 'Glee' On 'Late Night'

Demi Lovato dropped by "Late Night," and told Jimmy Fallon how she's completely taking over Fox's Thursday night lineup this fall. First up, Lovato is the only returning judge -- alongside Simon Cowell - on Season 3 of "The X Factor" at 8 p.m. ET.
She said that she and the new judges have bonded like family.

Kelly Rowland and Paulina Rubio have become older sisters to me," Lovato said. Fallon asked if that meant they were teaming up against Simon. "Absolutely," Lovato said. "There's no doubt about it."

But the Lovato Thursday train doesn't stop with the "X Factor" credits. She's joining the cast of "Glee" -- which airs at 9 p.m. ET -- for a multi-episode arc this season, reportedly as a love interest for Santana.

“I’m so excited. I’ve been friends with some of the cast members for so long, like Kevin [McHale], I’ve known him since I was 9 or 10, something crazy," Lovato said. "We grew up in Texas together. And I’ve become close with other cast members, so I’m excited.”

"The X Factor" premieres its revamped third season on Wednesday, September 11 and Thursday September 12. "Glee" kicks off Season 5 on Thursday, September 26. Lovato is expected to join in the second episode and the plan is for her to stick around for at least six episodes.
