Braxton Wood, Jayden Thomas Missing: Michigan Teens Disappeared Aug. 26

Cops Search For Teens Suspected Of Running Away Together

Two Mount Pleasant, Mich., teens suspected of running away together haven't been seen for more than a week.

"It's like they fell off the face of the earth," Jayden Thomas' mom, Kelly Drinkwine told CBS Detroit. "No one can find them."

Thomas, 13, disappeared with 14-year-old Braxton Wood on the morning of Aug. 26. Officials suspect the teens took off together in a Ford Explorer belonging to Woods' parents, ABC News reports.

Private detective Mike Cook is aiding Isabella County Sheriff's Officers in the search for the missing teens.

"Trying to find these two has been a little bit more difficult than any of us would have thought," Cook said. "They are 13 and 14 years old, boyfriend and girlfriend. It's our impression they have not made contact with anyone."
