After 48 years apart, an English couple has rekindled their love for each other and said "I do" for the second time.

Ollie Ingram and Wills Holmes first fell in love and got married 58 years ago in 1955, but their union ended in divorce 10 years later. Ingram explained to The Daily Mail that their first shot at marriage failed because they tied the knot too early.

But after decades apart and several remarriages, the former couple ran into each other at a party a year and a half ago. Ingram and Holmes, who were both widowed at the time, soon rediscovered the spark that had brought them together 58 years ago.

Ingram and Holmes, now 76 and 79 years old respectively, recently remarried in front of a hundred of their closet friends and family and, according to Holmes, they are determined to make this marriage last. He even proposed to Ingram with the same ring he gave her when she was just 17 years old.

"I never thought I would be lucky enough to marry the woman of my dreams twice in one lifetime," he said. "Ollie looked as beautiful as the first time and we know it will last this time."

This isn't the first time a couple has reunited after decades apart. In May, an Australian couple remarried 38 years after they got divorced. And in 2012, a couple in New York remarried 48 years after they first split up.
