Erica Domesek, Craft Guru, Reveals The One Mistake We're Making When We DIY

The One Mistake We're All Making When We DIY

It's safe to say Erica Domesek is the queen of DIY, but surprisingly this guru doesn't really believe in DIYing.

In a new interview with ELLE magazine, the "P.S. I Made This..." blogger and author revealed that when it comes to crafting and creating, it's best to do not it, well, yourself. "I always say, 'Don’t do it yourself, do it together.' You have more fun doing it with your friends, and there’s always someone who’s a bit more artistic and has more skill. They can help out," she told the magazine.

In fact, a "crafternoon" of necklace-making was how her fabulous empire came to life. And now, nearly four years after her website launched, she has two books ("P.S. You're Invited..." will be available September 10), a partnership with Bloomingdales and is launching a line with Swiss Army knives for West Elm. So, whenever someone says spending a night in, drinking wine and doing a little crafting is lame, just point them in direction of Domesek.
