If the first few songs released from Goldfrapp's new "Tales of Us" album are any indication, it seems that Alison Goldfrapp and music partner Will Gregory are steering away from the electro sound of 2010's "Head First," and back to their lush, slow "Felt Mountain" roots.
The new video for their latest song "Annabel," inspired by Kathleen Winter's 2010 novel of the same name, features a gender-questioning child playing in the forest, and who eventually opens a bag packed by a maternal figure (played by Goldfrapp) to discover a special present waiting inside.
The "Annabel" video takes place at the same countryside estate that was the scene for their previous video "Drew" which features the same gorgeous black and white images, and a similar plot of self-discovery. Goldfrapp's girlfriend, Lisa Gunning, has directed both videos released so far for the upcoming album.
"Tales of Us" will be released on Sept. 10.
