'The Double' Trailer Has Jesse Eisenberg Seeing, Well, Double In Creepy New Dostoevsky Adaptation

SEEING 'DOUBLE'

Fyodor Dostoevsky's novella "The Double" comes to life in a folksy new trailer that premiered Friday. Starring Jesse Eisenberg as Simon, a demure man who is haunted by a doppelganger, the Russian author's story explores one person's descent into madness. The mysteriousness of the plot is reflected in the dialogue-free clip, which is graced only by the sounds of 20th-century blues singer Son House's "Grinnin' In Your Face."

"The Double" co-stars Mia Wasikowska and Wallace Shawn. Written and directed by Richard Ayoade (2010's "Submarine"), the psychological creepfest premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival this weekend.
