"Private Practice" alum Paul Adelstein has been tapped for a recurring role in ABC's "Scandal," making him the latest Shondaland player to pay a visit to the political drama.

"Scandal" star Katie Lowes confirmed the casting via Twitter on Monday.

According to TVLine, who first reported the news, Adelstein's character will debut on the show in an October episode. No further details about his role are available at this time.
