Vanessa Hudgens Talks About Being Happy In Marie Claire

Vanessa Hudgens sat down with Marie Claire and talked about everything from silly rumors to simply being happy.

When asked about her supposed drug use at Coachella, Hudgens laughed it off.

“I couldn’t do anything but laugh. It’s amazing how people like to create something out of absolutely nothing. I am human like everyone else. I am aware that there are people who look up to me. When mistakes are made, they aren’t intentional, and I constantly push myself to be a better person,” she said.

The 24-year-old has certainly come a long way since her days in "High School Musical." She has starred as a stripper and is the face of this summer's crop top trend.

“I am so comfortable with myself – honing in on what I love and what makes me powerful. Things I’ve been doing lately, I’m super-proud of. So I don’t really care if someone doesn’t like it, because I love it,” Hudgens said.

And while the starlet is often the center of many paparazzi flashbulbs, it's rare that she isn't smiling. And it turns out her philosophy on that is pretty simple.

“You have a choice whether you want to be happy or not. I choose to be happy. And it’s been working out pretty well,” she said.
