Primary Race To Decide Who Will Run For New York City Mayor

It's election day in New York, New York, and a plethora of candidates are facing off to see who will be the Republican and Democratic candidates for mayor.

The New York Daily News reports public advocate Bill de Blasio is close to winning the Democratic nomination outright. Other Democrats running in the primary include Sal Albanese, Randy Credico, Neal Grimaldi, John Liu, Christine Quinn, Erick Salgado, Bill Thompson and Anthony Weiner.

Republican candidates include John Catsimatidis, Joseph Lhota and George McDonald.
