Election To Decide Who Will Run For Mayor Of New York City

Candidates are facing off in New York City today to see who will run in the general election for mayor of the Big Apple.

Republican candidates include John Catsimatidis, Joseph Lhota and George McDonald. Democratic primary candidates include Sal Albanese, Randy Credico, Bill de Blasio, Neal Grimaldi, John Liu, Christine Quinn, Erick Salgado, Bill Thompson and Anthony Weiner.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. on Tuesday and will close at 9 p.m.
