It seems as if Michael Kors can do anything. As a staple in the fashion world, Kors is now at the level of his career at which he can afford to take risks with his collection. Today, we noticed that there was a strong '70s vibe to his spring looks. High-waisted paints, geometric prints and billowy cuts dominated his runway.
This is a far cry from the sleek masculine look we saw six years ago in his Spring 2008 collection. We decided to compare two suited looks to see the intense difference. In '08, Kors decided to present a romantic and flowy style that boasted a lot of manly elements like short hair and jackets with hard cuts.
His '14 look still retains that masculine feel, yet it's softened by a comfy-looking sweater vest and wispy pulled-back hair. How interesting that when most designers have been revealing majorly futuristic and sleek styles, Kors decided to go back in time and connect with an era that no other designer has channeled this week so far.
