After a successful debut season, comedian and two-time New York Times best-seller Steve Harvey is set to return with his national-syndicated daytime show, “Steve Harvey” on September 16.

According to a press release for the show, Harvey is vying to set a world record during this season’s premiere episode by bringing 654 eligible singles to Chicago’s Navy Pier in an attempt to organize “The World’s Largest First Date.”

The media mogul’s ambitious challenge will follow in the footsteps of Nanyang Technological University’s 2005 Guinness World record of arranging the “most couples on a blind date in 12 hours.”

In addition to setting the bar high on the world’s dating scene, the show is also expected to feature expert advice for women turning 40, a guest appearance by world renowned singer, Michael Bublé, and an eye-opening panel discussion on teens and sex.

Upon its fall 2012 debut, Harvey’s syndicated show landed at number two behind Katie Couric’s show, Katie, as the most watched talk show netting a 1.2 household rating/1.7 million viewers a day for the week of September 10.
