A road collapse in Boulder County sunk three cars into floodwaters on Thursday morning.

Rescuers from the North Metro and Lafayette Fire Departments received a 911 call around 6 in the morning and found three cars partially submerged underwater on Dillon Road near Highway 287, with one car fully overturned.

"There was one [person] in each of the three vehicles and they were all able to be rescued and sent to local hospitals with minor injuries," Sara Farris, a North Metro Fire Rescue spokeswoman told the media on Thursday morning.
