If you're a pet owner, it's pretty unlikely that you've hidden this fact from your social networks. At some point, you've probably posted a photo on Instagram or Facebook or shared an observation on Twitter. (Maybe you have a whole Tumblr devoted to your furry friend. We won't judge.) This week, HuffPost senior lifestyle editor Lori Fradkin proved she can't resist sharing tidbits about her dog when she tweeted the following: "Doorman gave me a note with a phone number on it. Our dog was asked on a playdate."

But she certainly wasn't alone.

Sarah Heyward worried she's giving her pet too much attention: "I don't know how my dog ever relaxes when every time she wakes from a nap I'm two inches from her face grinning at her." Jenny Lawson (The Bloggess) confessed an innocent mistake: "I reached under my desk to pet my cat and realized it was my purse. I've been talking to my purse for 20 minutes." And Liliana Greenfield-Sanders revealed just how much she must talk about her cat: "After I text 'important' to my friends, I'll often have to specify 'real emergency, not cat-related' for them to pick up the phone."
