Yes, You Can Look Good In A Ratty, Old T-Shirt

This Is How To Wear Your Ratty Old T-Shirts (In Public)

There is a preconceived notion that fashion editors traipse around the city wearing designer duds all the time. And while that sometimes may be the case, more often than not, they are running from runway show to runway show wearing affordable high street items and sometimes even ratty old T-shirts.

This Fashion Week, trends like ear cuffs, flat shoes and crop tops all popped up off the runway and on the street. But the most surprising new fad was graphic tees (yes, like the slogan T-shirts that you got at bat mitzvahs 10 years ago and that old band tee you sleep in). Fashion girls are now wearing them out in public -- but of course, it being Fashion Week, the fashionistas hardly looked like they were wearing pajamas. Instead, girls paired the low-key tops with everything from midi skirts to high-waisted trousers to skinny jeans and blazers. It's all about glamming up the rest of your look to compensate for the scrubby T-shirt.

So, are you going to go the darkest depths of your closet to pull of your most comfy, worn-in tee? Take some cues from these ladies who did and see how they styled them:
