The Arctic Monkeys dialed up the most votes in NME's reader poll on the year's best festival headliners, more than doubling the take of runner-ups The Rolling Stones.

Rounding out the Top 5 were Biffy Clyro, Eminem and Green Day, which begs the question, dear readers: Who would you pick to be the best festival headliners of the year?

Here's a run-down of some of the year's most major festivals and headliners:

Coachella - Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blur, Phoenix and The Stone Roses
Glastonbury - Arctic Monkeys, The Rolling Stones, Mumford & Sons
Lollapalooza - The Cure, Mumford & Sons, The Killers, Nine Inch Nails
Bonnaroo - Paul McCartney, Jack Johnson, Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers,
Outside Lands - Paul McCartney, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Nine Inch Nails, Phoenix

Though he didn't headline any of the above events, Kendrick Lamar was found to be the artist who spent the most time on festival stages this summer. Weigh in below and offer alternatives in the comments.
