Charles Crenchaw, known to "Welcome to Sweetie Pie's" viewers as Lil' Charles, gets a double shock this week when he learns his dog is not only pregnant, but also a week away from giving birth. In this clip from the episode, he enlists the help of Randy, an expert from the local pet center Stray Rescue of St. Louis, for some pointers -- but gets more than he bargained for.
When Charles tells Randy his dog is due in about a week, Randy shakes his head.
"Ooh, dude, and you're just now dealing with this?" Randy says.
"Well, I've done a lot of reading online," Charles starts to respond.
"Reading doesn’t birth puppies," Randy interrupts. "You've got a lot to learn, and we don't have much time." He goes on to explain a number of things that Charles must prepare himself for and warns him that it's going to be a "bloody, bloody mess."
At first, Charles tries to keep his cool. "Dogs have been having puppies for millions of years," he says. "It shouldn't be that hard. I got this."
But as Randy goes into detail about the unpleasant tasks Charles may have to do to assist in the delivery, Charles loses it. "OK, this is gross," he says. "Ew."
