In the midst of all the glitz and glamour at the 2013 Emmys, Allison Williams went the simple route in a blue Ralph Lauren gown.
In a pre-Emmys interview with Elle, the "Girls" actress teased the look saying, "I wanted to wear something that I could have worn everyday–if I lived a very fancy life. So, the dress is very me. It’s very easy, beautiful, classic." And we think she nailed it.
Williams carried out the theme of simplicity with soft makeup, loose curls (styled by Dove celebrity stylist Mark Townsend to go with her classic all-American beauty look) and Fred Leighton jewelry she called "old and beautiful." She did, however, add an element of surprise in a pair of platform Roger Vivier heels. (Too bad the gown covered up her feet.)
