James Cromwell was honored for his work in "American Horror Story: Asylum" at the 2013 Emmys, winning the award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Miniseries or Movie.

Cromwell beat out fellow nominees Zachary Quinto Scott Bakula, John Benjamin Hickey and Peter Mullan for the Emmy.

The win marks Cromwell's first-career Emmy.
