Tangela Fisher's Body Found In Box, Martin Lee Williams Charged In Overdose Death

Woman's Body Found Stuffed Inside Homemade Box

A Missouri man was charged with involuntary manslaughter after a woman's body was found stuffed inside a homemade wooden box, which was discarded in a dry creek bed.

Martin Lee Williams, 51, was arrested Thursday in connection to the death of 35-year-old Tangela Fisher. Fisher's body was found Sept. 8, The Platte Chronicle reported.

Police believe that Fisher and Williams were shooting up in the Williams' St. Joseph home on Sept. 5. Williams reportedly prepared a controlled substance for both of them to inject, according to KCTV 5. Fisher stopped breathing and became unresponsive after she injected the substance.

Instead of calling 911, Williams allegedly constructed a box from part of a ping pong table and other scrap wood, then put the body inside and dumped the container in a creek bed elsewhere in Platte County.

Friday, police also arrested Juan Naranjo, who they say assisted Williams in moving the body, KSHB reported. Prosecutors say Naranjo was in the home when Fisher injected herself, and also neglected to call for help.

"[Fisher] was a very good person. Very nice and very loving," her brother, Travis Griese, told Fox 4. Fisher was the mother of three children, aged between 6 to 16.
