Bill Clinton: Hillary Clinton Ready To Be A Grandmother (VIDEO)

Clinton Reveals What It's 'Best Not To Discuss' With Hillary

Former President Bill Clinton said his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, is ready to be a grandmother.

When asked if she'd rather be president or a grandmother during an interview with "CBS This Morning," Clinton guessed his wife would choose grandchildren over the Oval Office.

"Do you think she'd rather be -- today, she can do both -- president or a grandmother?" CBS's Charlie Rose asked.

"If you ask her, I think she'd say grandmother, but I have found it best not to discuss that issue," Clinton said.

Clinton said he's "just trying to... live to be a grandfather."

"The rest of it's out of my hands," Clinton said.

This isn't the first time Clinton has said the political couple is ready for grandchildren. In January 2011, six months after the Clintons' only daughter Chelsea wed her longtime beau Marc Mezvinsky, Clinton said he was ready for a grandchild.

"I have nothing to do with that achievement, but I would like it," Clinton said.

“I would like to have a happy wife and she won’t be unless she’s a grandmother. It's something she wants more than she wanted to be president," Clinton said.
