Erica Domesek, DIY Guru, Hits Up The Best Craft Spots In New York City (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Erica Domesek's Go-To Craft Spots

DIY guru Erica Domesek is everywhere these days: book tours, launch parties, craft workshops, but that doesn't mean she's too busy for a crafty adventure around New York City. The team from Refinery29 had what looks like the most fun day ever with the "P.S. I Made This..." blogger by hitting up the best DIY spots in town.

The crew first headed to Pacific Trimming, where Domesek obsessed about squirrel buttons, shoulder embellishments and her love for crafting. "DIY is a vertical that cuts through fashion, beauty, food, home decor, entertaining, pets…everything. So, for me I was like, what you need to do is build awareness and gain trust and be a part of a movement," she said. "That was always the goal. It was never really a business mentality, more a lifestyle one."

It was then on to Spandex World for a little reminiscing, color inspiration and of course, glue gun talk. "Everybody should have a cordless glue gun! The idea is for making things to be even easier. The fact that you can use it anywhere at any angle and they're really fast to heat up and stay in the holster…they're great,"she said. "My new glue guns are really amazing, too. Swarovski crystallized them. We only made 40 of them; Taylor Swift got one. Hers was red though, obvi.” Obviously!

Head over to Refinery29 for the full interview and must-see DIY locations. Be sure to scroll through the photos below to see Domesek in action.
