On National Voter Registration Day, Sarah Silverman Says To 'Be A Part Of This World'

Sarah Silverman Has Message For Young Voters

OurTime.org, a nonprofit that encourages young people to register to vote, has teamed up with actress Sarah Silverman to celebrate National Voter Registration Day.

In a video released Tuesday, Silverman joined the organization's celebrity campaign to stress the importance of voting. (A note to readers: The video above contains some off-color language.)

"It's so easy, do it, be a part of this world, besides just Facebook," Silverman said in the video.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.), actress Renee Zellweger and filmmaker Errol Morris are among those who have contributed to OurTime.org's campaign to increase voter registration among young Americans.

The Census Bureau said 41.2 percent of people from 18 to 24 years old voted in last year's election. The rate for those older than 65 was 71.9 percent.

OurTime.org's goal is to get voters to participate at a younger age. Last year, OurTime.org registered more than 300,000 Americans to vote. You can register to vote using the organization's registration tool here.
