Meghan McCain: Chris Christie 'Just Not My First Choice' For 2016

Meghan McCain Reveals Who Isn't Her 'First Choice' For 2016

Meghan McCain, daughter of Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) and star of "Raising McCain" on Pivot, gave her 2 cents Thursday on the 2016 presidential race.

McCain tweeted that Chris Christie, who is considered one of the potential Republican nominees for president, wouldn't be her first choice:

McCain has said before that she is "over Chris Christie," a criticism the governor brushed off.

“Meghan McCain has no standing to be criticizing me,” Christie said. “I’m not going to respond to somebody just because of their last name.”

While Christie hasn't definitively said whether he'll run in 2016, he has made moves toward a potential presidential campaign, along with other GOP contenders like Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul and Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan.
