Brian Wilson Confronts Larry Baer, Giants CEO, About World Series Ring (VIDEO)

Brian Wilson Lashes Out At Giants CEO

All Dodgers reliever Brian Wilson wanted was his World Series ring. Following San Francisco's 3-2 win over L.A. on Thursday night, Wilson walked across the field and yelled at Giants CEO Larry Baer, his former boss.

Wilson leaned over the railing by the third-base dugout and confronted Baer about not receiving his ring for the 2012 World Series, per Andrew Baggarly of CSN Bay Area. But Giants spokeswoman Staci Slaughter said that the organization had been trying to give the bearded relief pitcher his ring for several months.

"We have been for seven months trying to give him his World Series ring, and tried these past three days," Slaughter said, via the Associated Press. "It's been more challenging than we expected. We've given the ring to the Dodgers and he now has it. We really tried to do the right thing. We invited him to the ring ceremony. A number of members of our organization repeatedly reached out to him and we didn't get any response."

Baer delivered Wilson's ring to Dodgers personnel after the confrontation, according to the AP.

“I don’t know why he decided to make a show of it and air his grievance tonight,” Slaughter said, per Henry Schulman of SFGate.com.

Wilson, who was a member of the Giants for seven seasons and won two World Series, didn't say much about what he said to Baer.

"Just a conversation between me and him," Wilson told Baggarly.
