Ever wanted to know what Katniss Everdeen has on her iPod playlist? More likely than not, it’s some empowering singles from Christina Aguilera. The pop diva recently lent her talents to The Hunger Games, with a song on the new Catching Fire movie’s soundtrack.
Aguilera’s track “We Remain” is one of the standouts from the Fire album and it’s already generating a ton of buzz. A heavy power ballad, it encapsulates the spirit and power of Games’ heroine, Katniss.
Samples of the song have already leaked online, attracting millions of hits. In the 90-second teaser, Aguilera shows a mature command of the mic and wails against a smooth piano and drum machine.

Not surprisingly, many are expecting the Fire soundtrack to storm up the charts. Outside of Xtina, it has original material from Coldplay, The Lumineers and Ellie Goulding.
