A day of bondage, domination and tea disguised as a "relationship support" meeting was gagged by red-faced officials.
Trumpington Village Hall, a community center in Trumpington, England, was booked by a bondage group that promised "violence/resistance play" and the "basics of erotic hypnosis," according to Cambridge News. After "quite a number" of secret bondage classes, the paper revealed Cambridge Kink's masochistic intentions. Community officials cancelled its Oct. 12 meeting and banned the event for good.
The 108-year-old venue, which sits in a quiet town on the outskirts of Cambridge, usually hosts Brownie scout meetings, bingo and women's groups, NBC News reports. For about $16, Cambridge Kink offered courses in caning, dominance, and general "kink on a budget," as well as tea and pastries.
"The premises were booked under false pretenses," a spokesman for the hall told NBC. "They said it was a relationship support group but it turned out to be something else that we didn't know about. We have canceled all future bookings."

Sheila Stuart, who represents Trumpington on the Cambridge City Council, said bondage is becoming more socially acceptable -- but not enough for this community center.
"I think this is becoming much more common and less hidden with the popularity of Fifty Shades Of Grey, and has brought it much more out in the open," she said.
