Artist Alex Chinneck Created An Awesome Facade On An Abandoned Building (VIDEO)

PHOTOS: Incredible Illusion Turns Vacant Home Into Something Special

When artist Alex Chinneck came across one abandoned home in Margate, England, he decided to turn it into something amazing.

In his project entitled "From The Knees Of My Nose To The Belly," Chinneck took a vacant building and built a new exterior that's not only pretty but slightly curves towards the bottom. This unique looks puts the "front door" flat on the street. "I wanted to create something that used the simple pleasures of humor, illusion and theatre to create an artwork that can be understood and enjoyed by any onlooker," he told Dezeen.

The project took just six weeks to complete and will remain up for one year until a new home is built according to the site. Take a look at the video above to see just how this cool facade came to be, and be sure to head over to Dezeen for more information. H/T Curbed.
