Emotional Video Chronicles Dad's Conflict Over Daughter With Down Syndrome

WATCH: Dad's Big Strides In Loving Daughter With Down Syndrome

Heath White -- star athlete, 4.0 student, pilot and FBI agent -- is a chronic overachiever. He felt he had underachieved when he discovered that he and his wife were going to have a daughter with Down syndrome; but one day, while playing with daughter Paisley and hearing her laugh, he had an epiphany.

"I realized she's just like any other kid," he said in a documentary that has generated lots of online chatter. White then took up competitive running again, pushing Paisley in road races "to let everybody see that I was proud of her."

"Perfect," from ESPN's E:60 series, details the father's moment of understanding that led to true love and togetherness through several marathons.

"I did everything I could to force [my wife] into having an abortion," he said, explaining his doubt and fear prior to his daughter's birth.

Though the short aired last year, it has regained steam through social media and news outlets. MSN called it "inspiring" and "emotional." The video's delicate themes have also yielded all kinds of responses from viewers.
