Miami Trolley Extends Route To Downtown Miami And Coral Gables (PHOTOS)

Miami Trolley Adds New Route!

Miami's public transportation system just got even better.

The City of Miami's signature free-to-ride trolleys have added a Coral Way route, providing a hassle-free link between Downtown Miami and Coral Gables--two of the city's most walkable areas.

Service for the new route will begin Thursday with trolleys making stops approximately every 15 to 20 minutes from 6:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Friday.

The green and orange trolleys will travel along Coral Way from Ponce de Leon Boulevard north to SW Second Avenue and then from West Flagler Street all the way east to Port of Miami.

As the seventh line, the route marks the official completion of the system that was envisioned in 2009 with the Trolley System Development Plan.

Check out the new line below, which includes stops at Downtown Coral Gables, American Airlines Arena, Government Center, Port Miami, Brickell Metrorail Station, and Vizcaya Metrorail Station.
