Marie Klein, High School Cheerleader, Sets Consecutive Backflips Guinness World Record (VIDEO)

Cheerleader Shatters World Record For Consecutive Backflips

16-year-old Marie Klein backflipped her way into the record books back in September.

The Walsh Jesuit High School cheerleader completed 40 consecutive back handsprings, beating the old Guiness World Record of 36.

"I started last December during basketball season and I would do like 20 at every game," said Klein. "This summer I just practiced a lot in my backyard and then I would go up to Walsh and practice on the football field."

While some reports say she completed 42, Klein told WJW that she did 40.
