Police: Drunk Mom Charged In Rollover Crash That Injured 6 Kids

A 22-year-old woman faces DUI and child endangerment charges after an alcohol-fueled rollover crash on I-57 landed eight people -- including six children -- in the hospital Sunday night.

Police have not released the identity of the woman they say was driving drunk along I-57 near 111th Street in the Washington Heights neighborhood around 9:30 p.m. Sunday. NBC Chicago reports police indicate the woman hit a guard rail and rolled her minivan.

Two adults and six children were injured in the crash, including 8-month-old twins. The Sun-Times reports two passengers were taken to the hospital in critical condition while two others were listed in serious condition Sunday night.

DNAinfo reports the driver is the mother of some of the children in the minivan.
