The Strokes' Fabrizio Moretti Made A Public Art Installation In New York

Guess Which Rock Star Made This Art Installation...

This morning the internet is buzzing with news of a recently installed art piece by none other than The Strokes' drummer, Fabrizo Moretti. You might not have known, but the curly haired, Brazilian rocker is also a sculptor to be reckoned with, and he's taken to the streets of New York City to show off his hankering for contemporary art making.

Moretti's piece, spotted outside the Rag + Bone store on East Houston Street, features rows of altars each populated by handmade, cast-in-plastic astronauts. Moretti is one of many artists to revamp the store's street-facing facade in the past few years, and in our humble opinion, one of the better ones so far.

According to Bowery Boogie, people have already begun to pilfer the plastic astronauts from their mini altars, which are fastened only by velcro. Go get a glimpse of this rocker's, erm, stroke of artistic genius before there's nothing left.
