Haim Were Once Part Of A Band Called Valli Girls, Sang 'Trollz' TV Show Theme Song

Haim Were Once Part Of A Manufactured Teen Pop Group

The road to fame is long, hard and paved with manufactured projects that don't represent the "real" you -- just ask Miley Cyrus. And it turns out your new favorite band, Haim, weren't as effortlessly cool as they are now.

Back in 2005, the elder Haim sisters, Este on bass and Danielle on guitar, briefly made up two-fifths of a girl group called Valli Girls, and sang the theme song for the "Trollz" cartoon series. Yes, troll dolls had a blink-and-you-miss-it show on UPN. More importantly the show's theme song, "It's A Hair Thing," is a song you won't be able to get out of your head.

While the Valli Girls also gave the world the song "Always There in You," which appears on the "Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants" soundtrack, the group wasn't meant to be. Este and Danielle pulled out of their contract with the group shortly after an appearance at the 2005 Nickelodeon’s Kids Choice Awards, according to The Fader.

Of course, this freed them up to join forces with Alana, their younger sister, and become the band you love today.
